Cummi 2 Chef - Hot Kitchen

  • Job Summary:

The Chef is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food items according to the restaurant's standards. The role requires attention to detail, consistency in food quality, and maintaining a clean and organized work area while following all food safety and hygiene regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
  • Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality expectations.
  • Assist in daily mise en place (preparation of ingredients and cooking stations).
  • Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, utensils, and equipment.
  • Monitor food stock and report shortages to the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
  • Minimize food waste and follow cost control procedures.
  • Cooperate with other kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operation.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Head Chef.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a cook in a professional kitchen.
  • Knowledge of basic cooking methods, knife skills, and kitchen safety standards.
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule:

  • Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 per month
