Patient Care Coordinator – Nauru Medical Centre (Government Hospital)

Location: Nauru Medical Centre, Republic of Nauru

Type: Full-time / Contract

About the Role:

Nauru Medical Centre, the primary government hospital in the Republic of Nauru, is seeking a compassionate and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the key point of contact between patients, medical staff, and hospital departments to ensure a smooth and positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate patient admissions, appointments, and follow-ups.
  • Assist patients and families with inquiries, scheduling, and documentation.
  • Liaise between doctors, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure timely care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update hospital databases.
  • Support patient education and discharge planning.
  • Uphold confidentiality and patient care standards in accordance with hospital policy.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in patient services, nursing, or hospital coordination role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and hospital information systems.
