About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with deep expertise in UAE taxation and VAT compliance to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage accounting processes, ensure tax compliance, and provide strategic financial insights to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Bookkeeping


• Maintain accurate general ledger, subsidiary accounts, and journal entries.


• Reconcile financial statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.


• Ensure compliance with UAE Accounting Standards and IFRS.

VAT & Tax Compliance


• Prepare and submit VAT returns to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) on time.


• Stay updated on UAE VAT, excise tax, and other indirect taxation regulations.


• Ensure all tax documentation is audit-ready and compliant with local laws.


• Identify tax liabilities, exemptions, and applicable deductions.

Financial Reporting


• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.


• Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to management.


• Support internal and external audits with accurate reporting.

Document Control & Record Keeping


• Organize and maintain financial documents, invoices, and contracts.


• Ensure proper archiving and easy retrieval of VAT and tax-related records.

Audit & Compliance Support


• Coordinate with external auditors for statutory and tax audits.


• Implement internal controls to minimize financial and tax risks.

Process Improvement & Advisory


• Develop and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and controls.


• Advise management on VAT planning, tax obligations, and regulatory updates.


• Support budgeting, cost control, and financial efficiency initiatives.

Team Leadership


• Supervise junior accountants and finance staff.


• Provide training on VAT compliance, accounting standards, and internal processes.

Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.


• Professional certification preferred: ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent.


• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in UAE VAT/taxation.


• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws, taxation regulations, and FTA compliance.


• Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, QuickBooks).


• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
