The Center for Executive and Professional Education (CEPE) at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) is seeking experienced English Language Trainers to deliver high-quality instruction across a range of specialized programs.

This is a contract-based, hourly position offering a flexible schedule and competitive pay. Trainers will work with private learners or small groups, delivering targeted language instruction designed to meet academic, professional, and personal development goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• IELTS Test Preparation
• TOEFL Test Preparation
• Business English
• General English

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a university or adult education setting.
• Experience preparing students for standardized English proficiency tests (IELTS, TOEFL).
• Familiarity with communicative and learner-centered teaching methodologies.
• Private Teacher Work Permit required (can be obtained via the MoHRE app within 2 working days – free of charge).

Language proficiency required

• Native or near-native proficiency in English.
• Arabic language skills are a plus.

Competency

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to diverse learner needs.
• Professionalism and cultural sensitivity.
• Technological proficiency in using online teaching tools and platforms.

Reporting line

• Reports directly to the Manager of CEPE.
