Pre-Sales Technical Consultant – Software Solutions

Job Summary
The Pre-Sales Technical Consultant plays a critical role in the sales cycle by providing expert technical guidance, delivering compelling presentations, and crafting customized proposals to prospective clients. This position bridges the gap between complex software capabilities and customer business requirements, contributing directly to sales closure through strong technical expertise, effective communication, and proactive follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth discovery sessions with clients to understand their business processes, pain points, and technical requirements in areas such as ERP, CRM, and accounting systems.
Prepare and deliver high-quality technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept sessions to showcase software solutions effectively.
Develop comprehensive technical proposals, responses to RFPs/RFIs, solution architectures, and cost estimates tailored to client needs.
Provide expert technical answers to client queries during sales meetings, evaluations, and negotiations, translating complex technical features into clear business benefits.
Collaborate closely with the sales team to support deal progression, including objection handling, value proposition articulation, and sales closure strategies.
Manage post-presentation follow-ups, maintain detailed records in CRM systems, and ensure timely communication to advance opportunities toward closure.
Stay current with industry trends, product updates, and competitive landscape in enterprise software (ERP/CRM/accounting) to position solutions competitively.
Support handovers to implementation teams and contribute to knowledge sharing within the organization.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in pre-sales, technical consulting, or solution architecture roles within the software industry, preferably focused on ERP, CRM, and/or accounting solutions.
Strong expertise in enterprise software applications, including deep functional knowledge of ERP/CRM/accounting modules and integration capabilities.
Excellent presentation and demonstration skills, with proven ability to engage C-level executives and technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in preparing professional proposals, technical documentation, and RFP responses.
Hands-on experience with CRM tools (for opportunity management) and strong understanding of sales processes.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in English (Arabic proficiency is highly advantageous).
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while contributing to team objectives.
