Role Overview

We are looking for
Draughtsmen – Infrastructure (Wet & Dry Utilities)
with hands-on experience in
utility construction projects
. The role supports site execution by preparing accurate
shop drawings, utility layouts, profiles, and as-built drawings
for both wet and dry utility networks.

This is a
high-volume, detail-oriented role
, critical to coordination between site teams, consultants, and utility authorities.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting & Drawing Preparation

  • Prepare and update
    shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings
    for:
  • Wet utilities: water, sewer, stormwater, irrigation
  • Dry utilities: power, telecom, street lighting, duct banks
  • Develop
    utility layouts, longitudinal profiles, sections, and details
  • Revise drawings based on
    site conditions, RFIs, and engineer instructions

Coordination & Site Support

  • Coordinate with
    Senior / Technical Engineers
    and site teams to incorporate technical changes
  • Support
    clash resolution and utility coordination
    with other disciplines
  • Assist in preparing drawings for
    authority submissions and approvals

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain
    drawing registers, revision control, and approval logs
  • Ensure drawings comply with
    project CAD standards, authority guidelines, and specifications
  • Support preparation of
    as-built drawings and handover documentation

Mandatory Requirements

Education

  • Diploma / ITI / Technical Certification in
    Civil Drafting
    or related discipline

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience
    as a Draughtsman in infrastructure projects
  • Proven experience in
    wet & dry utilities construction
  • Experience working with
    main contractors
    is preferred
  • UAE or GCC project experience is an advantage

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in
    AutoCAD (2D mandatory)
  • Ability to read and interpret:
  • Utility layouts and profiles
  • Construction drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of utility drafting standards and coordination practices

Behavioral & Professional Competencies

  • High attention to detail and drawing accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple drawing packages under deadlines
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Willingness to support site and authority-related requirements

Preferred (Added Advantage)

  • Experience preparing
    as-built drawings for utilities
  • Exposure to
    authority submission processes
  • Basic knowledge of quantity take-offs from drawings
