Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled
Legal & Investment Analyst
with a strong legal background to support the COO and executive team across acquisitions, due diligence, transaction structuring, compliance, and portfolio analysis. This role blends legal expertise with investment evaluation to ensure that development projects are both strategically viable and legally sound.

Key Accountabilities:

Legal Analysis & Transaction Support

  • Review, draft, and summarize legal documents including purchase and sale agreements, joint-venture agreements, leases, loan documents, easements, title commitments, and development-related contracts.
  • Oversee legal and regulatory due diligence: title, zoning, environmental reports, entitlements, permits, and land-use requirements.
  • Identify and communicate legal risks, obligations, and material issues to the COO for decision-making.
  • Coordinate closing processes with internal teams, outside counsel, lenders, and partners.
  • Support negotiations by providing legal interpretations, comparison analyses, and structured recommendations.

Investment Analysis & Financial Evaluation

  • Analyze financial feasibility for prospective acquisitions and development opportunities.
  • Build and maintain financial models (DCF, IRR, sensitivity analyses, capital structures).
  • Assist in preparing investment memoranda for executive and board-level review.
  • Track project performance versus pro forma assumptions and report variances.

Regulatory Research & Compliance

  • Conduct research on land-use laws, zoning ordinances, tax incentives, development regulations, and relevant local/state/federal requirements.
  • Monitor project compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory obligations.
  • Support risk management, insurance requirements, permitting strategies, and ESG-related documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with development, construction, finance, and acquisition teams to support project execution and decision-making.
  • Assist the COO with strategic planning, operational reporting, and preparation of presentations for investors, lenders, or the board.
  • Maintain communication with external counsel, government agencies, industry consultants, and JV partners.
