Job Description

We are looking to hire a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate must have prior accounting experience in the UAE construction industry. Candidates without UAE construction experience will not be considered.

This role requires strong knowledge of construction accounting practices, cost control, subcontractor payments, VAT compliance, and project-based financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Handle construction project accounting, job costing, and cost analysis
  • Manage subcontractor invoices, certifications, retention, and variations
  • Prepare and review progress billing, revenue recognition, and accruals
  • Ensure UAE VAT compliance (returns, reconciliations, audits)
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and cost control for projects
  • Coordinate with project teams for cost tracking and financial accuracy
  • Assist with audits, corporate tax filings, and management reports
  • Ensure compliance with UAE laws, accounting standards, and internal controls

Mandatory Requirements (Read Carefully)

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as an Accountant in the UAE construction industry
  • UAE construction experience is mandatory – applications without this will be automatically rejected
  • Strong knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, and project-based finance
  • Experience with UAE VAT in construction companies
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally / Zoho / QuickBooks / ERP systems)
  • Strong command of MS Excel
  • Good understanding of UAE labor-related payments, subcontractor accounts, and retention handling.
