As a Food Runner you are responsible for ensuring that food orders are delivered promptly and accurately from the kitchen to guests at their tables. The role focuses on maintaining food quality and presentation, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the front-of-house staff in a fast-paced dining environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth dining experience and satisfaction for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Delivery:

  • Deliver food from the kitchen to the appropriate tables in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all food orders are accurate and complete before leaving the kitchen.
  • Confirm that food is presented according to the restaurant's standards before serving it to guests.

Customer Service:

  • Greet guests with a friendly, professional demeanor and ensure their satisfaction with the food.
  • Answer any immediate questions about the dish, such as ingredients or dietary concerns, as directed by the server.
  • Communicate guest needs to servers and kitchen staff to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Assisting Servers:

  • Work closely with servers to ensure food is delivered to the correct guests in a timely manner.
  • Assist servers in clearing tables, refilling drinks, or addressing guest needs when necessary.
  • Help set up and break down dining areas, including placing condiments, utensils, and other necessary items.

Maintaining Food Quality:

  • Ensure that food is served at the proper temperature and with the appropriate condiments or sides.
  • Correctly handle and serve hot plates, using caution to prevent burns or spills.
  • Notify kitchen staff immediately if there are issues with food quality or presentation.

Restaurant Cleanliness:

  • Maintain cleanliness in the dining area by quickly clearing empty plates, glasses, and utensils.
  • Ensure all service areas are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., napkins, condiments).

Order Coordination:

  • Help organize food orders in the kitchen or expo line to ensure quick and efficient delivery.
  • Communicate with kitchen staff to check on the status of orders and make adjustments if necessary.

Assist with Opening and Closing Duties:

  • Set up dining areas for service, ensuring tables are properly set and stocked.
  • Help clean up at the end of shifts, including wiping down tables and clearing the floor.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with guests and staff.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to carry multiple plates or items at once, maintaining food safety and cleanliness.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and carry items for long periods.
  • Ability to lift trays, plates, or other objects weighing up to [X] pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, high-energy environment.

Other Requirements:

  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • A friendly and positive attitude toward guests and coworkers.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 per month
