Role Description

B8 Architecture is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Specifications Specialist with hands-on experience in DOT Studio to join our design team in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and completing all specification packages to B8's standards, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and excellence across all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and complete comprehensive specification packages across all disciplines - hard finishes, FF&E, architectural and decorative lighting, ironmongery, sanitary ware, kitchen appliances, window treatments, sockets and switches, accessories… etc.
  • Ensure that all documentation aligns with B8's templates, formatting, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with design, procurement, and project management teams to ensure specifications are coordinated and delivered on schedule.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of product availability, lead times, and supplier options across local and international markets.
  • Select materials, finishes, and FF&E items that meet client budget parameters and project requirements.
  • Maintain supplier databases and update product libraries within DOT Studio.
  • Coordinate with procurement to verify item specifications, pricing, and alternatives when needed.
  • Support design teams during tender documentation, ensuring clarity, consistency, and technical accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in an interior design or architecture firm in a specifications or documentation role.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT Studio (mandatory) and other design documentation platforms.
  • Comprehensive understanding of FF&E, lighting, hardware, finishes, and sanitary ware specifications.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask across multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or InDesign is a plus.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
