**Position**: Steel Structure Detailed Draughtsman

**Location**: United Arab Emirates (UAE)

**Industry**: Steel Structure Fabrication | Construction | Aluminium & Tensile Shade Structures

**Salary**: AED 3,000 - 6,000/month

**Experience Required**: 3-5 years in structural steel drafting with fabrication detailing

**Software & Tool Proficiency (Must Have / Preferred)**:
Must Have Proficiency In:

- AutoCAD (2D/3D)
- Tekla Structures (essential for steel detailing & BIM modeling)
- MS Excel for material lists and BOQs
- Understanding of DXF/DWG file formats for CNC machines

Preferred:

- Advance Steel / SDS2 / SolidWorks (structural modules)
- Familiarity with Navisworks (for clash detection and 3D coordination)
- Knowledge of ERP integration with CAD drawings

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Produce comprehensive fabrication drawings based on engineering inputs and site measurements.
- Develop detailed assembly drawings, bolt plans, part lists, and cutting patterns for the fabrication team.
- Coordinate with design engineers and project managers to incorporate changes and finalize drawing sets.
- Update drawings based on consultant comments or site revisions.
- Ensure drawing accuracy, layer control, and compliance with company CAD standards.
- Assist in preparing as-built drawings, submittal packages, and technical documentation.
- Maintain drawing logs and submission records for consultant/client reference.
- Provide technical support to the production and erection teams during manufacturing and installation.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- **Experience**: Must have extensive experience in producing fabrication-level shop drawings for steel structures, including connections, cutting lists, bolt plans, and erection drawings.
- **Education**:

- Diploma in Mechanical / Civil / Structural Engineering
- OR Certification in Drafting, Steel Detailing, or CAD Technologies
- Attestation: Educational credentials should be attested by MOFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), UAE.

**Core Skills Required**:

- Advanced knowledge of steel profiles (IPE, H, C, Box, Angle, etc.), gusset plates, base plates, connection details, bolting and welding details.
- Strong ability to interpret structural design drawings, architectural references, and load path diagrams.
- Proficiency in preparing:

- GA Drawings (General Arrangements)
- Erection & Assembly Drawings
- Fabrication Shop Drawings
- Cutting Plans & Material Take-offs
- Knowledge of welding symbols, structural tolerances, and fabrication standards (AISC / BS / Eurocode).
