**Procurement Manager - Job Description**

**Position Overview**

The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s purchasing activities to ensure cost-effective acquisition of goods and services without compromising quality or timelines. This role involves developing procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Strategy & Planning**:

- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Forecast procurement needs based on project schedules, production requirements, and market trends.
- **Sourcing & Supplier Management**:

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and subcontractors.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any disputes or delivery issues.
- **Cost Control & Budgeting**:

- Analyze procurement spending to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate purchase records and ensure purchases remain within budget limits.
- **Compliance & Quality**:

- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Implement quality control processes for purchased goods and services.
- **Collaboration & Reporting**:

- Coordinate with project managers, finance, and other departments to align purchasing with operational needs.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement metrics, supplier performance, and budget status.

**Skills & Competencies**
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of contract management and supply chain processes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an advantage.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in [industry].
