Business Intelligence Analyst

As a Data Analyst at PXGEO, you are responsible for supporting the development, design, integration, and deployment of business intelligence solutions, including data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics tools. The role provides data management and analysis capabilities for current solutions, evaluates and implements new technologies to meet changing business needs in cost-effective ways, and ensures data accuracy and accessibility for decision-making purposes.

**Data Management and Analysis**
- Collecting, cleaning, and transforming raw data from various sources to prepare it for analysis.
- Developing and maintaining data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
- Implementing and maintaining a data lake to store and manage structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the organization.

**Business Intelligence and Analytics**
- Assisting in the development and implementation of predictive and prescriptive analytics models to support business goals and objectives.
- Performing data analysis, data mining, and data modeling activities to support business decision-making and identify trends, patterns and anomalies in business data.
- Developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery to stakeholders.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and create analytics solutions that address their needs.
- Ensuring data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and cleaning processes.

**Data Lake Implementation and Maintenance**
- Collaborating with IT and data teams to design and implement a data lake architecture that meets the organization's data storage and processing requirements.
- Managing data ingestion, storage, and processing within the data lake, ensuring optimal performance and data quality.
- Monitoring data lake performance and scalability and identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.

**BI Tools & Technology Expertise**
- Maintaining expert working knowledge of all BI tools, data analytics technologies, and methodologies employed at the Company.
- Evaluating and recommending new data analytics tools and technologies that add value to the business.
- Supporting the implementation, configuration, and administration of BI tools and platforms.

**Data Governance & Compliance**
- Ensuring compliance with data privacy and security regulations and guidelines.
- Implementing and maintaining data governance policies and procedures to ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborating with the IT team to implement and maintain data access controls and security measures.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics and BI roles.
- Extensive technical knowledge of data analytics tools and technologies, such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, data lakes and data warehouses.
- Proficiency in data management, ETL processes, and data modeling.
- Certification in a relevant data analytics or BI framework is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent team player with strong collaboration skills to engage with both IT and business staff.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem investigation and solving abilities.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize workload under pressure.
- Highly disciplined and adept at producing and maintaining documentation.
