**Job Summary**
Ensures proper daily ingredient preparation of menu items within the station.
As a Pastry Chef, you are responsible for operating the pastry section of the kitchen while working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef. A Pastry Chef will also be required to plan production and develop seasonal offerings.
Responsible to create high-quality pastry dishes with standard recipes and presentations to maintain quality standards and consistency of product. Also, assist in the production and maintenance of par stocks of pastry and dessert with proper rotation of products and maintain the highest cleanliness and hygiene standards in the pastry and bakery section.
- Able to produce all baked goods including but not limited to artisan bread and rolls, muffins, laminated Danish, laminated croissants and doughnuts, etc.
- Decorate pastries and desserts using different types of icings, toppings, etc., and ensure the food presentation will be beautiful and exciting.
- Checks the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
- Maintain a lean and orderly baking station and adhere to health and safety standards.
- Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to the supervisor immediately.
- Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently.
- Organizes his/her work and timing to suit fluctuations in guest numbers and special events.
- Leads the team under his/her responsibility and creates a good working atmosphere
- Organizes and supervises the work carried out by commis chefs and apprentices operating in his/her section
- Informs the team about cost optimization and the reduction of raw material wastage; tracks implementation
- Able to recognize superior quality produflavorssentations, and flavours.
- Trains Demi Chef de Pastry, commis chefs, and Trainees to a high standard
- Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
- Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and cooperate with co-workers efficiently and effectively.
- Ensures that all side duties and cleaning schedules are completed as per daily checklists.
- Completes all checklists as required daily, weekly and monthly for the kitchen.
- Proactive in attending all training as required by the business.
- Actively looks for ways in which they can develop their career.
- Communicates to managers any issues immediately.
- Actively engages with colleagues at all times.

**Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications**
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree
- ESFT certified
- 3-4 years in a central production unit with meal plan experience

**Salary**: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
