**Job Description: Marine Welder**

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced **Marine Welder** to join our team. The Marine Welder will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures and components on marine vessels and offshore platforms. This role requires expertise in welding techniques, a strong understanding of marine environments, and the ability to adhere to safety and quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Fabrication and Welding**:

- Perform various types of welding (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core) on a range of metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Fabricate and assemble structural components, pipelines, and equipment according to blueprints and specifications.
- **Repair and Maintenance**:

- Inspect and repair damaged hulls, decks, bulkheads, and other shipboard components.
- Replace corroded or worn metal parts and ensure proper alignment and fit.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow strict safety protocols for hot work, including firewatch and ventilation procedures.
- Ensure all work adheres to marine industry standards and classifications (e.g., ABS, DNV, or Lloyd’s Register).
- **Equipment and Tools**:

- Operate welding machines, cutting torches, plasma cutters, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure tools are in good working condition.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with shipbuilders, marine engineers, and electricians to complete projects efficiently.
- **Documentation**:

- Record work performed, including materials used and methods applied.
- Provide reports on repairs, modifications, and maintenance tasks.

**Qualifications**:
**Education and Certifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in welding from a recognized institution (e.g., AWS, CSWIP, or equivalent).
- Additional marine welding certifications are a plus.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of welding experience, preferably in the marine or offshore industry.
- Familiarity with shipyard or drydock operations is highly desirable.

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in various welding techniques and metal fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of marine-grade materials and coatings.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in challenging weather conditions.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience working on vessels such as tankers, cargo ships, or offshore platforms.
- Knowledge of corrosion prevention methods (e.g., cathodic protection, marine coatings).
- Familiarity with international maritime safety standards.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED1,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
