**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform FCAW welding on various structural and marine-grade steels according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
- Fabricate and assemble structural components such as hull sections, frames, decks, and bulkheads.
- Conduct tack welding, full-penetration welds, and multi-pass welds as required.
- Inspect welds for defects using visual inspection and measuring tools; perform rework when necessary
- Operate hand and power tools, grinders, torches, and cutting equipment.
- Work in various environments including dry docks, shipyards, and onboard vessels—indoors and outdoors.
- Follow company safety policies, OSHA standards, and marine welding codes (e.g., ABS, DNV).
- Maintain welding equipment and keep tools in good working condition.
- 2+ years of FCAW welding experience, preferably in a **marine or shipyard** environment.
- Proficient in structural and positional welding (1G to 6G).
- Ability to weld in confined spaces, overhead, and in all positions.
- Experience working with carbon steel and possibly stainless steel or aluminum.
- Familiar with weld quality standards (AWS D1.1, NAVSEA, or ABS standards).
- Must pass FCAW weld test(s) to qualify.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and wear PPE.
- Welding certifications (e.g., AWS, ABS, or other marine codes).
- Experience with gouging, cutting, and grinding.
- Familiarity with shipboard systems and structural layouts.
- Ability to work off drawings with mínimal supervision.

Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,000.00 per month

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Welder: 3 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Welder Certification (preferred)
