The Manager Marine Operations (USV) is instrumental in ensuring the seamless and compliant operations of our Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs). The role ensures efficient and effective execution of the agreed vessel services and represents Fugro on all matters concerning the assigned vessel(s) or support service The role oversees vessel certification, crew management, and liaison with maritime authorities, underpinning the organisation's commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence in the realm of autonomous marine operations. The role shall act as the link between Fleet Services (Vessel) and Business (Projects).

Job responsibilities:

- Supports departments to ensure safe, effective and efficient coordination, delegation, planning and execution of all tasks
- Shows and applies genuine management commitment and exemplary leadership to deepen and strengthen our safety culture, with a specific focus on ensuring new developments drive down HSSE risk
- Supervises vessel performance following the Fugro (Standard) Vessel Management and the Fleet Services Management System
- Provide guidance, and collect feedback on marine (vessel) operational implementation process (i.e., adoption or adaption);
- Leads on coordination of training arrangements and management of competence system
- Controls, administrates, and reports on the approved annual operational vessel budget in accordance with Fleet Services Management System. Responsible for the preparation, monitoring and reporting on the CAPEX budget
- Sets challenging development goals for self to close skills gap and is willing to make mistakes in order to learn.

You bring (qualifications & experience)
- Bachelors or equivalent based on knowledge and experience
- 8 - 15 years working experience in a Maritime environment
- 3 - 8 years significant management experience in a marine environment
- Physically and medically qualified to wear required personal protective equipment.
- STCW certification
- Travel requirement around the world
