**Job Description: Mechanical Draftsman**

**Position Overview**:
The Mechanical Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings, layouts, and plans for industrial projects, with a focus on process piping and tank storage terminals. The role requires expertise in 3D modeling and drafting, ensuring that all designs meet industry standards and project specifications.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for process piping, tank storage terminals, and other industrial installations.
- Develop layouts, sections, and isometric drawings as required for project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and create accurate designs.
- Create and revise detailed piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and piping layouts.
- Ensure that all piping designs adhere to industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Assist in the selection of appropriate materials and components for piping systems.
- Develop 3D models of industrial equipment, tanks, and piping systems using CAD software.
- Create realistic renderings and walkthroughs for client presentations and project approvals.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, electrical, etc.) to integrate piping systems into overall project designs.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for all designs, including revisions, as-built drawings, and project archives.
- Ensure all drawings are up to date and reflect the latest project changes and modifications.
- Assist in the preparation of material take-offs, bill of materials (BOM), and other project documentation.
- Work closely with project teams to provide technical support during the design and construction phases.
- Participate in design reviews, site visits, and client meetings as required.
- Provide input on design improvements and cost-saving opportunities.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
**Education**: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman, with a focus on process piping and industrial projects.
- Proven expertise in 3D modeling and drafting for tank storage terminals and other complex industrial facilities.

**Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of piping standards, codes, and industry practices.
- Experience with P&IDs, isometric drawings, and 3D piping layouts.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME, ANSI, API, and others related to piping and tank storage.
