A pool lifeguard in responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment in and around the pool areas. The primary duty of a lifeguard is to prevent accidents and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies. Key responsibilities include:
**Surveillance**: Constantly monitor swimmers and guests in and around the pool to ensure their safety. Look out for any signs of distress or potential dangers.

**Enforce Rules**: Enforce pool rules and regulations, such as proper conduct, diving, and appropriate swimwear, to maintain a safe and orderly environment.

**Water Rescue**: Be prepared to respond to water emergencies, such as drowning or swimmers in distress. Administer water rescues when necessary, using proper rescue techniques and equipment.

**First Aid**: Administer first aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) if necessary. Lifeguards must be trained and certified in these life-saving techniques.

**Emergency Procedures**: Follow established emergency procedures and protocols in the event of an accident or emergency. This may include alerting other staff members, calling for medical assistance, and assisting in evacuations.

**Equipment Maintenance**: Ensure that all safety equipment, such as lifebuoys, flotation devices, and rescue tubes, is in good working condition. Report any maintenance issues promptly.

**Customer Service**: Provide friendly and helpful customer service to pool guests, answering questions and addressing concerns.

**Cleaning and Maintenance**: Assist with routine pool maintenance and cleaning tasks, including skimming the pool, checking water quality, and ensuring a clean and organized pool area.

**Training and Certification**: Maintain current lifeguard certification and attend regular training sessions and drills to stay up-to-date with safety procedures and techniques.

**Documentation**: Complete incident reports and keep accurate records of any accidents or incidents that occur within the pool area.

**Lifeguard Certification**: Must hold a valid lifeguard certification from a recognized training agency.

**CPR and First Aid Certification**: Current CPR and first aid certification is often required.

**Strong Swimming Skills**: Excellent swimming skills and endurance are necessary.

**Physical Fitness**: Lifeguards should be physically fit and able to perform rescue maneuvers.

**Communication Skills**: Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential for dealing with guests.

**Attention to Detail**: The ability to remain vigilant and attentive for extended periods is crucial.

**Language Skills**: Fluency in English is often required, and knowledge of other languages, such as Arabic, can be an advantage in Dubai.

**Salary**: AED1,600.00 per month
