The lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all swimmers and visitors at a residential building's swimming pool in Dubai, UAE. This role involves constant supervision of pool areas, enforcing Dubai Municipality regulations, and providing emergency rescue and first aid assistance when needed. The lifeguard will also contribute to maintaining pool cleanliness, ensuring the proper use of facilities, and promoting a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Monitor pool activities**: Supervise the swimming pool and surrounding areas to ensure a safe environment. Continuously observe swimmers and take preventive measures against accidents.
- **Enforce Dubai Municipality safety regulations**: Ensure compliance with all pool rules and regulations set by Dubai Municipality, including proper swim attire, no running, and appropriate behavior within the pool area.
- **Emergency response**: Act swiftly and professionally in emergencies, providing lifesaving interventions such as CPR, first aid, or water rescues in line with Dubai Municipality safety guidelines.
- **Maintain safety equipment**: Regularly check the condition and availability of safety and lifesaving equipment such as lifebuoys, first aid kits, spinal boards, and rescue tubes.
- **Pool area maintenance**: Assist in maintaining a clean, organized pool environment by reporting any issues with water quality, temperature, or chemical imbalances to pool maintenance staff.
- **Record-keeping**: Maintain daily records of pool operations, including visitor numbers, water quality checks, incidents, and maintenance concerns, and submit reports to building management when required.
- **Customer service**: Provide excellent service to residents, assisting them with any inquiries related to pool rules, safety practices, and general swimming guidance.
- **Training & development**: Stay up-to-date with the latest lifesaving techniques, attend regular safety drills and training, and renew certifications as required by UAE regulations.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Valid **Dubai Municipality Lifeguard Certificate**:

- **CPR, AED, and First Aid certification** (must be recognized by the UAE authorities)
- Strong swimming ability and in-depth knowledge of lifesaving techniques
- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality’s pool safety regulations and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail, observation skills, and ability to remain alert in a busy environment
- Physical fitness to perform emergency rescues when necessary
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with residents of all ages and backgrounds
- Able to work under the sun over 45*c.
- Previous experience as a lifeguard in a residential or hospitality setting in the UAE
- Knowledge of pool filtration systems, chemical balance, and water safety standards as required by Dubai regulations
