Project / Site Interior Design - Fit Out Inspector

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Lead the architectural, interior design and FFE related process for assigned projects, ensuring all technical and aesthetic requirements are met. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate engineering, construction, and design elements into the overall site plan.
- Supports the supervision of the entire project related to architectural, interior design and FFE elements. Supervision of all mock ups made on site.
- Ensure proper coordination with team, consultants, and contractors, production department, Design Department and Engineering Department. Based on site, to identify any mis-coordination and communicate the same to the Design Team for resolution. Review suitability of design and advise of any construction constraints.
- Reviews CAD drawings, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and color boards prepared by Architectural Designers. Makes new proposals and/or modify existing drawings when necessary. Ensures compliance with applicable codes and standards as well as client requirements.
- Prepare preliminary answers RFI’s related to architectural, interior design and FFE works.
- Review and inspection of materials and suppliers to ensure required standards.
- Attends meetings with Clients, both internal and external. Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and incorporate feedback into design revisions.
- Coordinates work with engineering and construction units at project site. Reviews, approves, and advises on the detailed design and construction drawings and specifications prepared by others. (Coordinate all aspects of submittals, review and approvals against contract requirements and when applicable report and advise on deviations from the same.)
- Give clear, concise and understandable instructions to Contractors to avoid abortive works and errors.
- Ensures that designs and plans are executed in actual construction.
- Reviewing, approving, and processing all architectural, interior design and FFE related technical submittals including materials and detailed shop drawings.
- Coordinating and supervising the work of all architectural, interior design and FFE activities and operations related to architectural, interior design and FFE scope of work. (Undertake overview supervision duties on site to ensure general compliance of the works with shop drawings, specification and contract requirements and when necessary to address deficiencies associate with the same.) Coordinate with the site team for accurate usage of latest shop drawings for site inspections.
- Performs site visits and inspections and prepares related reports (Keep a structured record of daily site activities with a reviewed end of week). Oversee and conduct the inspections with comment to be made and logged if any, ensuring that all aspects are covered during the inspections.
- Conduct quality inspections as required. Inspections of material handling and storage. Conduct inspections and prepare snag list, de-snag.
- Prepare check list for the inspections of various entities.
- Responsible for maintaining managing reports, daily narratives, quantities installed, classified logs and time and material tickets.
- Ensure that inspections are carried out in a timely and consistent manner and maintain a good turnaround time for the inspection request.
- Monitoring / Inspecting all architectural, interior design and FFE works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual. Monitor the implementation of designs and drawings. Monitor the quality of the fit-out works and FFE.
- Record and issue NCR’s, with the approval of the PM/RE.
- Ensures the quality of project execution.
- Assist the PM/RE & Architect to prepare the final snag list.
- Coordinates and assists with the inspection of completed works, and assist with the handover of the building and other parts of the scope of works.
- Prepare “Sign-off” package for completed architectural, interior design and FFE works, or sections of works, with completed documentation for sign-off by Project Manager.
- Review as-built drawings.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelors degree in Architecture and / or equivalent commensurate to the job responsibilities.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant site supervision experience with 5 years in the UAE construction supervision experience with a consulting firm, in interior design and FFE.
- Strong technical knowledge in interior details, fit out materials and end finished product.
- Design Skills and Knowledge/experience in Autocad, Revit
