**Job Description: AutoCAD Draftsman (BOQ & Measurements Experience)**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Create, revise, and update AutoCAD drawings for architectural, structural, or MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) projects based on specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project details and create detailed plans, drawings, and designs.
- Accurately measure on-site dimensions and take precise field measurements for the preparation of drawings and BOQs.
- Prepare and maintain Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on technical drawings, measurements, and project specifications.
- Ensure that BOQs are complete, detailed, and accurately reflect the materials and quantities required for the project.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure that the designs meet client requirements, regulations, and budget constraints.
- Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and contracts to ensure compliance with codes and industry standards.
- Maintain a library of all project drawings and revisions for reference and record-keeping purposes.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates by providing accurate quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns based on the BOQ.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of all drafts, BOQs, and documentation as required by the project schedule.
- Participate in site visits or inspections as necessary to ensure the accuracy of designs and measurements.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman, with specific experience in BOQ preparation and taking measurements for construction or engineering projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software (e.g., Revit, SketchUp, etc.).
- Strong understanding of architectural, structural, or MEP systems and components.
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and codes.
- Ability to accurately measure dimensions on-site and translate them into detailed drawings and BOQs.
- Experience in preparing detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for large-scale projects.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent accuracy in measurement-taking and drawing creation.
- Good knowledge of cost estimation principles and the ability to calculate material requirements.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective coordination with project managers, engineers, and contractors.
- A degree or diploma in Drafting, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in 3D modeling and BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a plus.
- Familiarity with international building codes and standards.
- Previous experience working on large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
- Knowledge of project management tools and software.

**Work Environment**:

- Office-based work with occasional site visits for measurements and inspections.
- Work may require collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers.
- Occasional overtime or extended hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
