We are currently looking for a:
**Head of UITP MENA REGIONAL OFFICE**
(Position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates)
**MAIN DUTIES**
The Head of UITP MENA Regional Office works under the supervision of the Senior Director Membership & Global Operations (MGO). He/she is responsible of the definition and execution of the UITP MENA Regional Office activities and the MENA contribution to UITP global activities.
She/he contributes to the retention of current members and the further development of the membership as well as the knowledge and the financial base of UITP via various means.
She/he represents UITP: she/he liaises with business associates, relevant organizations and Government bodies in the region and she/he is the contact person for (international) institutions.
She/he is responsible for the functioning and management of the MENA office according to local legislation and Head Office requirements in terms of financial, legal, fiscal, labour and administrative rules.
The Head of UITP MENA is responsible for the budget of the region. She/he manages it carefully and according to UITP Board’s recommendations and guidelines.
This position implies a strong leadership in strengthening the RISE culture and caring management to generate the well-being of employees and the sustainable performance of the organisation.
**Competencies**
- Good knowledge and understanding of Public Transport sector and its stakeholders
- Clear, effective communication and negotiation skills in a collaborative and transparent environment
- Experience in Associations is asset
- Master degree is an asset
- At least 10 years of working experience IT literate
- Ability to work autonomously but also within a group
- Proactive, convincing and diplomatic approach
- Availability and willingness to travel
- Fluent in English and Arabic
