Looking for a skilled and experienced Auto Spare Parts Purchaser to join our dynamic team. As an Auto Spare Parts Purchaser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our company has a consistent supply of high-quality spare parts for our automotive inventory.
Your primary responsibility will be to source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best deals and prices for our spare parts. You will need to have a strong understanding of the automotive industry, including knowledge of different car models, makes, and parts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify and establish relationships with reliable suppliers, both locally and internationally, to ensure a steady supply of auto spare parts.
2. Research market trends and analyze supplier pricing to make informed purchasing decisions that meet our quality and budget requirements.
3. Review and evaluate supplier quotes, negotiating terms and conditions to ensure optimal cost savings without compromising quality.
4. Collaborate with our inventory and purchasing teams to forecast spare parts demand accurately and maintain adequate stock levels.
5. Conduct regular inventory audits to assess the availability and quality of spare parts, flagging any discrepancies or issues promptly.
6. Stay updated with industry trends, new products, and emerging technologies to identify potential improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
7. Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of suppliers, products, pricing, and quality standards.
8. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including technicians and mechanics, to understand their specific requirements and ensure the timely delivery of requested spare parts.
9. Monitor and track key performance indicators, such as on-time delivery, supplier performance, and cost savings.
**Requirements**:
1. Proven experience as an Auto Spare Parts Purchaser or a similar role within the automotive industry.
2. In-depth knowledge of automotive parts, makes, models, and suppliers.
3. Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail when evaluating suppliers and pricing.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
5. Proficient in using procurement software and tools to track inventory, generate reports, and analyze data.
6. Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, taking ownership of the purchasing process and ensuring timely delivery of spare parts.
7. Familiarity with relevant local and international regulations, certifications, and quality standards related to auto spare parts sourcing.
8. A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
