Hotel Front Office Receptionist/reservation

The Hotel Front Office / Reservation Agent is responsible for providing a warm welcome to guests, managing reservations, handling check-ins and check-outs, and ensuring a smooth and pleasant stay for all guests. This role combines guest-facing front desk duties with behind-the-scenes reservation tasks to ensure seamless service and optimal occupancy.
**Key Responsibilities**:Front Office Duties**
- Greet and assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Manage room assignments and issue room keys.
- Provide guests with hotel and local information.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Process payments and maintain accurate billing records.
- Maintain an organized front desk area and update guest records in the PMS.
**Reservation Duties**:
- Enter and update reservation details accurately in the system.
- Confirm, modify, or cancel bookings as requested.
- Monitor room availability and ensure accurate inventory control.
- Communicate with travel agents, OTA partners, and corporate clients.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly occupancy and forecast reports.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in a hotel front desk or reservation role (3-4 years preferred)
- Familiarity with Hotel Reservation Systems (e.g., Opera, WishNet, Cloudbeds, ProLogic)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office and reservation software
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays
**Education & Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree is an advantage)
- Formal training or certification in hospitality/customer service is an advantage
