- Job Purpose
To plan and perform tasks that involves ordering, receiving, inspecting, returning, unloading, shelving, packing, labeling, pricing, delivering, and maintaining a perpetual inventory of forms, office supplies, and various types of equipment at the University of Sharjah stores.
- Main accountabilities & expectations- Oversee and administer warehouse operations including maintaining inventory and using inventory management software to prepare purchase requisitions.
- Keep records to maintain inventory control, cost containment and to assure proper stock levels.
- Maintain receipts, records, and warranty documentations.
- Receive and review all incoming material, equipment and supplies from the providers.
- Oversee and inspect the delivery of merchandise following an established schedule and coordinate special deliveries by transmitting the necessary details to the relevant departments.
- Follow up with suppliers in order to make sure items are delivered in a timely manner, as well as ensure that the end-user has received the correct items.
- Perform other stock-related duties, including sorting, packing, and labeling supplies.
- Maintain a filing system to store all relevant receipt vouchers (SRV), store issue vouchers (SIV) and all other documents.
- Monitor stock levels and available materials, and prepare constant reports, statistics and requests accordingly.
- Operate simple office machines, which may include computer assisted inventory, automotive equipment, and may operate a forklift or other light equipment used in moving heavy items.
- Ensure that Health and Safety standards are implemented at all times, and report any matters of concern to the line manager and/or related personnel in order to take action.

- **Required Skills**:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to prepare professional documents, in both Arabic and English.
- Knowledge of storekeeping and inventory control procedures, recordkeeping and other clerical procedures.
- Analytical mind with ability to make accurate mathematical computations.
- Attention to detail.
- Good physical form and ability to carry heavy items.
- High integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance.
- Flexibility and ability to function effectively as part of a team.
- Preferred Qualification & Experience- Minimum of a high school diploma.
- 2-4 years of UAE experience in similar role preferably in higher education institutions.
- Valid UAE driver's license.
- Priority is to UAE Nationals.
