Commercial Advisor

This role presents an opportunity for the right individual to become an essential member of the team supporting the successful pursuit of new business.
- Promote safe working practices and demonstrate safety leadership at all times
- Perform pre award activities including the pricing of proposals, performing commercial review of tender documents, preparing commercial proposals prior to submission for internal approval, preparing commercial qualifications and pricing notes,
- Prepare accurate estimates with due regard to competitor, supply chain and local market trends
- Liaison with all key functions including Engineering, Tax, Global Mobility, Insurance, Legal, treasury and legal to ensure proposals are aligne with wood strategies and tender governance.
- Support commercial strategies for opportunities
- Support risk review development workshops as necessary for developing commercial response
- Support Profit Improvement Plans for key opportunities
- Oversee the development of paperwork for the approval process for Commercial Submissions
- Review final submission doscumentation to ensure all commercial elements are reflected appropriately
- Support in pre-tender client engagements to influence commercial strategy and prepare pricing methodology
- Assist with the effective handover of commercial matters from pre-contract to post contract phase of projects.
- Develop new commercial models, as required including incentive schemes and KPIs.Liaison with various internal customers (Contract/Project Managers, Engineers) in all areas of commercial management.

**Internal**:Working with all stakeholders including Operations, Business Development, Finance, Tax, Insurance, Contracts**:
**LEVEL OF INFLUENCE & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY**:

- Under broad direction, ensure estimating / pricing assumptions are robust
- Accountable for delivery of pre contract commercial tasks ensuring they are completed correctly and in a timely manner.

Engagement required with Commercial Managers and to ensure accuracy of commercial submissions, commercial strategy has not deviated and deadlines shall be met.

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of an undergraduate degree in business administration, commerce, quantity surveying, or similar discipline.
- Professional qualifications desirable but not essential.Experience in a similar role is required

**Knowledge, skills and experience**:

- 3 years experience in a similar role or professional qualification is desirable.
- Experience in pricing of commercial models
- Experience in drafting and interpretation of contractual documentation
