- Assist pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of medications and preparations for medical outpatients and inpatients per prescription medication order
- Compound when applicable medications under supervision of a Pharmacist
- Initiate and maintain computerized and manual patient medication profiles to screen for contraindications allergies dose correctness drug drug and drug food interactions pharmacological duplication and adherence to drug restriction policies
- Perform specialty pharmacy activities as delegated
- Follow proper handling and storage procedures of medications and recognize physical and chemical changes during storage to avoid dispensing compromised medications
- Be familiar with approximately 1 500 line items on the formulary and work shifts hours to meet operational requirements
- Prepare prescriptions and medication-related documentation for the in-charge pharmacist and second pharmacist to dispense
- Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs
- Proper labeling of high alert medications concentrated electrolytes and hazardous material
- Coexist in the pharmacy only during the presence of a pharmacist
- Comply with all laws circulars and regulations related to the pharmacy profession
- Valid DOH License as Pharmacy Technician / Assistant Pharmacist
- Diploma in Pharmacy (D.
Pharm) 2-year program
- Minimum 2 years’ experience of pharmacy practice in UAE
- Hold a current and valid license to practice in home country without conditions or limitations
- Excellent command of oral and written English
- Knowledge of medication handling, prescription processing, and pharmacy procedures
- Good communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Understanding of UAE healthcare regulations and medication safety standards
