Faculty Position in Computer Science
The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, College of Information Technology (CIT), United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites highly qualified individuals to apply for a faculty position in Computer Science. The CIT seeks candidates who can contribute to its growing undergraduate and graduate programs in Computer Science and Software Engineering, through excellence in teaching and research.
Requirements
1. Candidates with interdisciplinary research in areas related to Computer Science, particularly Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, are strongly encouraged to apply.
2. Demonstrable research capability that will enable the candidate to develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in the areas of computer science, software engineering, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and robotics, publish research findings in refereed journals/conferences, and actively engage in promoting the growth of the UAEU is a must.
3. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related field with a demonstrated record of research accomplishments and experience in writing and securing research grants. Innovative teaching skills with experience in blended learning and other interactive teaching methodologies are highly desired.
4. Faculty rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience, with preferences given to Assistant Professors.
5. The College has undergraduate programs in information technology, computer science, information security, and computer engineering. The college is also home to a number of graduate programs including an MSc. in Software Engineering and a Ph.D. in Informatics.

7. The application should include a full curriculum vitae, a cover letter, a brief statement of current and future research interests, evidence of excellence in research and teaching, and names and contact information for three references. English is the language of instruction and communication in the CIT. All applications must be submitted online.
Education Requirements
1. Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
2. The ability to teach undergraduate/graduate courses. Industrial and professional experience is a plus.
