Sales Manager – MENA region

As the Area Sales ManagerMENA regions, you will beresponsible for achieving the assigned territory&aposs primary and secondary targets. You will handle General Trade and Modern Trade for long-shelf bakery, Premium snacks, and Healthy Snacks. You will also identify and develop key clients for business excellence and target accomplishment.
Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets in MENA countries ( Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait + North Africa).
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Set and monitor sales targets for each GCC market.
- Prepare annual and quarterly sales plans aligned with business goals.
2. Business Development & Key Account Management
- Build and maintain relationships with key retailers, distributors, wholesalers, and modern trade partners (Carrefour, Lulu, Panda, etc.).
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional deals with distributors and retailers.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand distribution channels across theMENA region
3. Market Expansion & Brand Growth
- Drive new product launches and brand visibility in MENA markets.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to implement promotional campaigns and in-store activations.
- Ensure the right product assortment, pricing strategy, and stock availability in each market.
- Work closely with trade marketing teams to develop in-store visibility plans.
4. Distributor & Retailer Management
- Select, onboard, and manage distributors to ensure optimal market coverage.
- Monitor distributor performance, inventory levels, and order fulfillment.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing guidelines, and promotional plans.
5. Sales Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track sales performance and market share across MENA countries.
- Conduct regular sales reviews and prepare performance reports for senior management.
- Use data analytics and market intelligence to drive decision-making.
6. Financial & Profitability Management
- Manage sales budgets, trade spending, and promotional investments.
- Optimize pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
- Control credit terms and accounts receivables to minimize financial risks.
7. Compliance & Regulations
- Ensure compliance with the MENA import/export regulations, product labeling laws, and local business practices.
- Work with legal and regulatory teams to ensure all sales activities adhere to local market regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelors degreein Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- Specialized certifications in sales, marketing, or international trade can be an advantage.
2. Work Experience:
- 5-10 years of experiencein sales, preferably in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector.
- Experience in handlingGCC markets
- Proven track record in managing distributors, key accounts, and retail chains.
3. Technical Skills & Sales Expertise:
- Strong knowledge ofsales strategies, distribution networks, and channel management in GCC.
- Experience withmodern tradeandgeneral tradesales.
- Familiarity withP&L management, pricing strategies, and trade marketing.
- Proficiency inCRM software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excelfor sales reporting.
- Understanding ofGCC import/export regulations and FMCG compliance laws.
4. Soft Skills & Leadership Qualities:
- Negotiation & Persuasion Skills:Ability to negotiate contracts and close high-value deals.
- Leadership & Team Management:Experience in managing and motivating sales teams across multiple countries.
- Strategic Thinking & Market Analysis:Ability to identify opportunities and develop long-term growth plans.
- Communication & Relationship Building:Strong networking skills to engage with distributors, retailers, and key stakeholders.
- Cultural Awareness:Understanding of business practices and cultural differences in the GCC region.
- Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:Ability to resolve sales challenges and adapt to market changes.
5. Language & Regional Knowledge:
- Fluency in Englishand Arabic
- Knowledge of the GCC market, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
