Vice President of Communications for Luxury Hotels

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Communications to lead and elevate our luxury hotel brand's global communication strategies. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand's narrative, enhancing its reputation, and driving engagement with key stakeholders, including guests, media, partners, and internal teams. The VP of Communications will lead a dedicated team and collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure cohesive and effective communication initiatives that resonate with our luxury-focused audience.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Communication Leadership:

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy that aligns with the brand's luxury positioning, values, and business goals.

2. Define and maintain the brand's messaging framework, ensuring consistency across all communication channels and touchpoints.

2. Brand Reputation Management:

1. Safeguard and enhance the brand's reputation by proactively managing crisis communications and mitigating potential risks.

2. Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities for proactive reputation-building initiatives.

3. Media and Public Relations:

1. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, influencers, and industry partners to secure positive and impactful coverage.

2. Oversee the creation of press releases, media kits, and other materials to effectively communicate key developments and news.

3. Lead the development of compelling and creative content, including written, visual, and multimedia assets, to engage and resonate with the luxury hotel audience.

4. Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure a consistent brand voice and aesthetic across all content platforms.

4. Internal Communications:

1. Develop and execute internal communication strategies that align employees with the brand's mission, vision, and objectives.

2. Coordinate with senior leadership to ensure transparent and effective communication across the organization.

5. Stakeholder Engagement:

1. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, industry associations, and local communities, to foster positive engagement and partnerships.

6. Event Management:

1. Oversee the planning and execution of high-profile events, including grand openings, press conferences, and exclusive VIP gatherings.

2. Ensure that events align with the brand's luxury identity and contribute to its visibility and reputation.

3. Manage a team of communication professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for growth.

4. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity and excellence.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in communications, with a proven track record in luxury hospitality, travel, or related industries.
3. Strong understanding of luxury brand positioning and the ability to convey luxury lifestyle experiences through strategic communications.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for various platforms and audiences.
5. Experience in crisis communication and reputation management.
6. Established network of media contacts and industry influencers.
7. Strategic thinker with the ability to align communication efforts with business goals.
8. Proficiency in utilizing digital communication tools and platforms.
9. Leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage and inspire a team.
10. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
