Senior Design Engineer

Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer specializing in Wet Utilities to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of complex water supply, wastewater, and stormwater systems for various projects in the region. Responsibilities Develop and oversee the design of wet utilities systems, including water distribution networks, sewage collection systems, and stormwater management facilities Utilize advanced CAD software and hydraulic modeling tools to create detailed design drawings and specifications Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration of wet utilities designs with other project components Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery of high-quality designs Conduct site visits and field investigations to assess existing conditions and gather necessary data Perform hydraulic calculations and analysis to optimize system performance and efficiency Ensure compliance with local and international design standards, regulations, and best practices Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the design team Prepare technical reports, presentations, and design documentation for clients and stakeholders Stay updated on industry trends and innovative technologies in wet utilities design Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field Minimum 7-10 years of experience in wet utilities design, with a focus on water supply, wastewater, and stormwater systems Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software, and hydraulic modeling tools Strong knowledge of local and international wet utilities design standards and regulations Experience in project management, including timeline and budget oversight Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach Strong organizational abilities and efficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team environment Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred Understanding of sustainable water management practices and their application in design Willingness to conduct site visits and field investigations in the Abu Dhabi region Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership Additional Information AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
