Key Responsibilities

1. Focus on the safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of your department.
2. Review the work forecasts and determine productivity requirements to meet overall building objectives.
3. Partner with other Area Managers to balance labor, ensuring efficient shifts while meeting goals.
4. Support all safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
5. Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
6. Manage and lead a team of Process Assistants, coaching and mentoring to meet performance objectives.
7. Drive creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Change/Six Sigma initiatives.
8. Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Process Assistants.
9. Measure performance, provide feedback, and hold Process Assistants accountable.
10. Leverage ideas from Area Managers and Process Assistants to create improvement plans.
11. Ensure best practices are shared across all departments and shifts.
12. Work closely with support staff to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives.
13. Address operational and personnel issues affecting the functional area.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
