CSD Dredging Manager

This is a full-time position on an annual contract basis, with the potential for extension.
Responsibilities
- Establish operation standards onboard for all CSD vessels. Supervise CSD Captains in organizing and execution of daily dredging works.
- Liaise with/oversee technical departments, Dredge Superintendents, CSD Captains on all operational planning, day-to-day activities and execution of dredging works.
- Guide technical departments on regular repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance of CSDs.
- Assist crewing team on scheduling and selection of suitable personnel for CSD operations.
- Oversee CSD simulator for crew training and development needs.
- Review and identify cost-effective methods of work execution with Dredging Project Manager/ Works Manager/ Superintendent/ Captain.
- Identify productive ways of dredging and dredging configuration together with Dredging Superintendent, Technical Superintendent and production department.
- Monitor daily report on Actual V/S Estimated output, plan repairs and maintenance of CSDs.
- Submit reports to technical department where changes/adaptations are required to minimize the impact on operations.
- Monitor pipe-operators and first skipper performance.
- Maintain all safety management, quality, and environmental standards.
- Other related functions as required of the role or assigned by line manager.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil/ Mechanical/ Marine Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Above 10 years of experience in operating and managing Cutter Suction Dredgers for Dredging and Land Reclamation works, ideally in the capacity of a Dredge Master and/or Captain.
- Extensive experience with self-propelled CSD with minimum cutter power of above 5MW.
- Expertise in dredging project planning, organizing, deciding, executing and controlling.
- Ability to optimize dredging performance and ensure project efficiency.
- Strong understanding of HSE and operational best practices in dredging.
- Experience in overseeing/leading multinational crew operations.
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD.
- Able to mobilize at short notice.
