Reports to: Sr. Manager - Car Care
Purpose:
The Business Development Manager - Auto is responsible for identifying, developing, and expanding business opportunities in the Car Care and Automotive industry. This role involves promoting products or services to potential clients, identifying new business prospects, and expanding market presence. The role also includes establishing new channel partnerships to achieve the desired objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Strategic:
- Formulate and execute effective sales strategies and plans to attain corporate sales objectives.
- Analyze market trends, acquire potential clientele, and explore emerging business opportunities.
- Propel sales growth by actively pursuing leads, conducting sales presentations, negotiating contracts, and finalizing transactions.
- Consistently meet or exceed given targets.
- Operational:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, assess the competitive landscape, and understand customer preferences.
- Prepare precise sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
- Analyze sales data to pinpoint areas for improvement, track performance against targets, and propose actionable strategies.
- Cultivate a robust professional network within the industry by participating in conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
- Represent the company in a professional manner and bolster the brand image.
- Product/Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with the Business Unit team to introduce innovative Car Care products or services based on market demands.
- Ensure the quality and relevance of offerings meet customer needs.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and customer needs to guide the further development of the business division.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of car care products, services, and industry trends.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with the capacity to analyze market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Outstanding presentation and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Arabic would be an advantage.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum: 8 years of Sales/BD experience in auto accessories or consumer durables.
- Preferred: 4 years in a senior Business Development position.
