Senior Instrument and Control Engineer Wood is recruiting for a Senior Instrument and Control Engineer to join its UAE Business Unit focusing on providing discipline support to the business for a major onshore brownfield project in Sharjah, UAE. This is a full‐time, office‐based role in Sharjah, UAE. Job Overview Full‐time office‐based role in Sharjah, UAE, providing discipline support to the UAE Business Unit for a major onshore brownfield project. Responsibilities Provide discipline support to the business in instrument and control engineering. Chair technical presentations, lunch & learn sessions. Review and check the work of the design team. Manage third‐party suppliers in the execution of engineering delivery. Assist in the preparation of CTRs and man‐hour estimates. Attend meetings as required. Assist procurement and project engineering personnel in procuring equipment and materials. Liaise with other disciplines on design, construction, fabrication and commissioning issues. Execute assigned personal objectives and ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget. Carry out surveys and answer site queries. Support supervisory tasks for direct reports. Deputize for the Lead Engineer where required. Take ownership of processes relevant to the discipline. Key Objectives Coaching and mentoring as delegated. Develop training program for graduates. Provide technical presentations and knowledge sharing. Ensure compliance with regulatory framework and industry standards. Provide subject‐matter expertise in instrument engineering. Support scope definition and execution. Qualifications Engineering degree (essential). Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in oil & gas with onshore brownfield and FEED/EPC experience. Deep knowledge of instrument engineering design. Proficiency with international codes and standards. Experience in field instrument & valve (safety, shutdown, control) technical bid evaluation and vendor package management. Experience with ICSS (PCS, SIS, FGS) – preferably Emerson Delta V System. Experience in HAZOP, HAZID and SIL. Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication. Team‐player with good interpersonal skills. Proficient in SPI, INtools, Flow Meter, Control Valve sizing software (InstruCalc, Fisher Valve, etc.) and MS Office. Demonstrated ability to work cross‐functionally.
