    • Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools, integrating structural designs with architectural and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) designs.

  • Foundation Design:

    • Expertise in designing foundations (e.g., slab-on-grade, spread footings, deep foundations like piles or caissons) to ensure they are stable and capable of supporting the structure.
    • Understanding of soil mechanics, including the properties of soil types, bearing capacity, and settlement analysis.
    • Ability to assess geotechnical reports and integrate findings into foundation design.

  • Seismic and Wind Engineering:

    • Knowledge of seismic forces and designing structures to withstand earthquakes (seismic-resistant design) based on seismic zones and codes.
    • Understanding wind load analysis and designing structures to resist wind forces, including the use of bracing, shear walls, and other stabilizing features.

  • Sustainability and Environmental Impact:

    • Expertise in sustainable design practices, ensuring structures use energy-efficient materials and construction methods that minimize environmental impact.
    • Knowledge of green building certifications (e.g., LEED) and designing structures to meet sustainability standards.

Desired candidate profile
  • Proficiency in analysis and design of steel structures, concrete structures, equipment foundations (static & dynamic), pipe-racks and technological structures
  • In depth knowledge of building design (both conventional and blast resistant)
  • Knowledge of soil mechanics, earthworks, geotechnical and foundation engineering
  • Ability to assess and check adequacy of existing structures (pipe racks, buildings, equipment foundations, etc.)
  • Knowledge of design of roads, paving, culverts & bridges
  • Understanding and design knowledge of underground drainage network
  • Hands on experience in using industry standard software such as STAAD PRO, ETABS, MAT3D, FDN3D, PROKON, AUTOCAD, etc.
  • Knowledge of national/international codes & standards and industry practices ( ACI, AISC, ASCE, BS, BS EN, ASTM, ADIBC, IBC, PIP, SHELL DEP, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ADNOC Specifications (AGES, DGS) is preferred

Experience OR Qualifications

  • Minimum Overall 15+ years of oil & gas experience.
  • Must have at least 3 to 5 Years experience working in SRU and Gas Processing projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is a MUST.
  • FEED experience is a must.
  • PMC experience is an added advantage.
  • GCC experience required.
