We are seeking a detailoriented HSE Inspector to join our Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for a transportation project entering the Design & Build (D&B) phase. The selected candidate will work under the HSE Manager and be responsible for monitoring the D&B contractors compliance with health safety and environmental (HSE) standards and regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Monitor and ensure the D&B contractors compliance with HSE standards regulations and projectspecific requirements.
  • Review the contractors HSE plans risk assessments and method statements.
  • Assist in incident investigations and ensure root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented including photographs of the incident as required.
  • Prepare and present HSE reports including statistics trends and recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide HSE guidance and support to the project team contractors and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and conduct HSE training and awareness programs for project personnel and contractors.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained and maintained.
  • Promote a positive HSE culture and ensure continuous improvement in HSE performance.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on HSE matters.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Science Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional certification in HSE (e.g. NEBOSH IOSH CSP) is highly desirable.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 7 years of experience in HSE management with a focus on metro or railway projects.
  • Proven experience in a PMC environment acting as a client representative.
  • Indepth knowledge of HSE regulations standards and best practices.
  • Experience in conducting HSE audits inspections and incident investigations.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment and management principles.
  • Excellent communication leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Mandatory Experience in the rail metro or any transit sectors or something similar.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using HSE management software and tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive a positive HSE culture.
