Senior Technical Estimation Engineer – Bridges

We are seeking a Senior Technical Estimation Engineer – Bridges with strong experience in infrastructure estimation, specifically bridge and tunnel projects. The role is critical to supporting tendering, pre-contract engineering, and cost planning, ensuring accurate, competitive, and technically compliant estimates for major infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for bridge and tunnel infrastructure projects, including piling and foundations, temporary works and staging. Develop BOQs, cost breakdown structures, and pricing schedules. Perform quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and tender documents. Evaluate construction methodologies and reflect them accurately in pricing. Analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements. Identify commercial and technical risks and propose mitigation strategies. Coordinate with Planning Engineers for construction sequencing and timelines, Procurement teams for vendor pricing and market benchmarking, and Technical and construction teams for buildability inputs. Support value engineering and alternative proposals where applicable. Liaise with design consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers for technical clarifications and quotations. Review subcontractor and supplier offers for technical compliance and cost accuracy. Assist in preparing clarifications, tender queries, and post-tender submissions. Technical & Commercial Coordination This includes liaising with design consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers for technical clarifications and quotations, reviewing subcontractor and supplier offers for technical compliance and cost accuracy, and assisting in preparing clarifications, tender queries, and post-tender submissions. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Mandatory) Experience 10–15 years of experience in infrastructure estimation. Strong background in bridge and tunnel construction projects. Prior experience with main contractors handling large infrastructure bids. UAE or GCC estimation experience is highly preferred.
