Senior Accountant

Dr Scent is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Sharjah. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, preparing accurate reports, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.Key Responsibilities of Senior AccountantPrepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements.Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.Oversee accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger functions.Ensure compliance with VAT, tax laws, and internal accounting policies.Develop budgets and forecasts in collaboration with senior management.Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation.Monitor financial transactions and reporting for accuracy and completeness.Identify areas for process improvement and cost optimization.Qualification Required for Senior AccountantBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in accounting, preferably within the UAE.Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or equivalent).Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Company BioDr Scent is a leading fragrance solutions provider in the UAE, specializing in innovative scent marketing strategies tailored to enhance environments and brand experiences.
