About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Senior Planning Engineer to join our client’s construction team. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating project schedules, monitoring progress, analyzing project performance, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of construction projects. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (baseline schedules, look‑ahead schedules, recovery schedules) using Primavera P6 / Microsoft Project or equivalent. Perform schedule risk analysis and develop mitigation plans. Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare periodic (weekly, monthly) project reports. Coordinate with project managers, site teams, procurement, and subcontractors to collect progress data, forecast delays, and propose corrective actions. Analyze resource allocation, constraints, and project dependencies; recommend optimization strategies. Prepare cash‑flow projections, manpower histograms, and resource‑loading plans. Conduct change‑order impact assessments and update schedules accordingly. Liaise with the commercial / contracts team to evaluate schedule implications of contract changes. Support project management in risk management related to planning. Facilitate progress meetings and workshops with stakeholders. Provide training / mentorship to junior planners / planners‑in‑training, if needed. Monthly Salary: AED 15,000 – AED 25,000+. Additional benefits include a housing allowance, health insurance, annual leave, and end‑of‑service benefits, which are subject to company policy. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in planning / project controls within construction projects (ideally in UAE or GCC). Proficiency in schedule management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar). Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and risk‑assessment skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills. Knowledge of construction practices, resource management, and contract management. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. PMP / PMI PBA, AACE, or similar certification (preferred, not mandatory).
