OverviewJob Purpose - The Maintenance Technician – Electrical / Electrician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing and resolving electrical technical issues, and attending to emergency situations across assigned properties. The role ensures all electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, analyze, and repair electrical issues at assigned sites.Perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment as per the maintenance schedule.Attend electrical emergencies, including on-call duties, and ensure timely resolution.Identify technical issues and recommend system improvements to the Operations Manager.Supervise the Maintenance Team in carrying out electrical maintenance tasks to required standards.Provide technical training and guidance to operations and maintenance staff.Document emergency actions, maintenance activities, required parts/tools, and completion reports accurately.Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations in all electrical works.Perform additional duties as directed by the Line Manager.Education, Certification & ExperienceDiploma or professional certification in Electrical Systems.Valid UAE Driver’s License.Health and Safety certification preferred.ExperienceMinimum of 6 years’ experience as an Electrician in property management, facilities management, or building maintenance environments.Expertise in panel boards, electrical lines, troubleshooting, and specialized measuring equipment.Knowledge of both low voltage and high voltage electrical systems, as well as control systems.Knowledge & SkillsElectrical installations and systems.Advanced knowledge of low voltage systems.General knowledge of high voltage systems.Control systems and troubleshooting.SkillsStrong teamwork and organizational abilities with effective technical staff interaction.Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues.Effective interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and solve complex electrical problems under pressure.Core CompetenciesInitiative – Demonstrates proactive problem-solving and ownership of tasks.Analytical & Logical Thinking – Skilled at diagnosing and resolving electrical issues.Conceptual Thinking – Understands and applies technical concepts effectively.Decisiveness – Makes sound decisions, especially during emergencies.Information Seeking – Identifies and addresses issues promptly.Teamwork – Collaborates effectively with colleagues and maintenance teams.Organization Commitment – Adheres to company standards, safety practices, and values.Self-Confidence – Works independently with assurance in technical expertise.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Timely and accurate resolution of all assigned electrical maintenance and emergency tasks.Completion and documentation of reports within set timeframes.Full compliance with health and safety standards at all times.Timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.Job ChallengesManaging complex electrical issues independently.Working under pressure in emergency and high-demand situations.Maintaining proactive maintenance while balancing urgent tasks.SeniorityMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionManagement and ManufacturingIndustriesFacilities Services
