Role Overview As an Audio Engineer at Pulse, you play a central role in transforming concepts into working, well‑delivered AV solutions. Beyond programming, this role spans pre‑sales support, system design, schematic creation, and on‑site validation, ensuring that every system is not only programmed correctly but designed and executed to the highest standards. You will collaborate with the sales and design teams to develop solutions that meet client requirements, produce accurate schematics and documentation, and ensure system placements, fixings, and equipment locations are correct and practical for installation. During project delivery, you will check site progress, validate that installations align with design intent, update drawings and programming if changes occur, and provide structured feedback to the Project Manager. This role requires a balance of technical creativity, attention to detail, and cross‑functional communication. AV Programmers are expected to own their designs and code, working collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure systems are intuitive, reliable, and client‑ready. Success in this role is measured not only by the quality of your programming but by your ability to design robust solutions, adapt designs when on‑site realities change, and maintain accountability for the correct placement, fixing, and operation of all AV systems under your responsibility. Responsibilities o Review and develop designs while keeping budget and customer requirements in mind. o Create designs, simulations, drawings, and full bills of materials. o Build presentations of designs to assist sales team when required. o Attend sales meetings with the sales team to provide technical support when required. o After award stage of a new project, visit the project with PM and sign off on drawings and design prior to issuing IFC drawings. o Develop, program, and test audiovisual systems for various projects. o Create and implement control system software for audio, video, and lighting systems. o Test and troubleshoot audiovisual systems to ensure they meet design specifications. o Communicate and collaborate with the project management team, engineers, designers, and technicians to ensure successful completion of projects. o Attend site visits to check progress, design, changes, program, test, and commission audiovisual systems. o Maintain technical documentation and update project databases. o Keep up to date with industry trends and new audiovisual technologies. o Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams. o Attend support tickets and get sign off on successful closure. o Attend the site during operations to check the operation (once on first operation, then again after a couple of weeks to check feedback, operation and tweaks). Key Performance Indicators Reporting: • Reporting to clients, contractors, and internal teams via email or other communication channels. • Sign off on support calls / training / site visits. Timelines: • Cycle time: The amount of time it takes to complete a project. • On‑time completion percentage: The percentage of projects completed on time. • Time spent: The amount of time spent on each project. • Number of visits required to complete a job. Quality: • Customer satisfaction/loyalty: The level of satisfaction and loyalty demonstrated by customers. • Number of mistakes/errors: The number of mistakes or errors made during the project. • Customer complaints: The number of complaints received from customers. • Number of snags after handover: The number of issues that arise after the project has been completed and handed over to the customer. • Number of change requests: The number of requests for changes made during the project. • Number of additional requests for material: The number of requests for additional materials made during the project. • Completion and documentation: The level of completion and documentation achieved during the project. Planning/Task Management/Scheduling: • Setting tasks related to projects for other departments and effectively managing time. • Full planning ahead of time with full product documentation available. • Project briefing to technicians and technical teams before reaching the site. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field • Proven experience in audioprogramming and system integration • Knowledge of control system programming languages such as Crestron, AMX or any open architecture DSP • Familiarity with network protocols and audio visual equipment • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to work well in a team and independently • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Willingness to travel for site visits • Basic CAD knowledge (AutoCAD or Vectorworks) Responsibilities Programming of audio visual systems Team work, learn from all team members Training and After Sales Support Must Have Bachelor Degree or Higher Passion for Audio Highly creative and autonomous Willing to relocate to Dubai Nice to have Use of AutoCAD Programming of Open Architecture DSPs What's great in the job?
