We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Resident Engineer specializing in building projects, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing construction activities, ensuring project success from inception to completion.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily construction activities ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to maintain project timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Review and approve construction drawings, change orders, and technical submittals.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation including progress reports, site diaries, and meeting minutes.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during construction, proposing innovative solutions when necessary.
  • Manage and mentor junior engineering staff, fostering their professional development.
  • Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to senior management and clients.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in building projects with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
  • Strong project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing construction teams and coordinating with various stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of quality control and assurance processes in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work onsite and travel as required within the UAE.
