Roles and responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensivethreat assessment for multiple infrastructure projects, covering awide range of scenarios, from petty crime to terrorism, identifyand evaluate security threats, considering various factors such aslocation, type of property, and potentialrisks.
  • Develop the security Strategy of theinfrastructure projects with realistic and cost-effectivestrategies tailored to each client's uniqueneeds.
  • Assist in prioritizing security measuresbased on potential risks and operational requirements, whileconsidering factors such as budget constraints and adaptability tofuture changes.
  • Develop the mitigation measuresplan, recommend appropriate security measures, including bothphysical and electronic solutions.
  • Assist inestimating cost, coordination with clients, and adapting strategiesto evolving security needs.
  • Propose a varietyof technical security solutions, including video surveillance,access control, intrusion detection, and communication systems.Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to integratesecurity systems with developmentinfrastructure.
  • Develop the physical securitydesign concepts such as landscaping, and crime prevention throughenvironmental design (CPTED).
  • Provide supportin project coordination, tender processes, compliance reviews,through the project lifecycle activities related to securityimplementation.
  • Propose the latest securitytrends, and innovative technologies in thefield.

Requirements

  • Minimum15 years' experience in security risk management,strategy, and systems design.
  • Must have Civilinfrastructure projects experience.
  • Work underpressure with the ability to prioritize and planeffectively.
  • Middle East experience will beadvantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonalskills.

Qualifications

Mastersor bachelors degree in engineering (Electronics, Telecommunicationsor Electrical)

  • CybersecurityKnowledge: Deep understanding of cybersecurityprinciples, including risk management, threat assessment,penetration testing, incident response, and security protocols forprotecting digitalassets.
  • Physical SecuritySystems: Experience in managing physical securityinfrastructures, such as CCTV surveillance systems, access controlsystems, alarms, and intrusion detectionsystems.
  • NetworkSecurity: Expertise in securing networkinfrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems(IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and Virtual PrivateNetworks (VPNs).
  • Data Securityand Encryption: Proficiency in data protectionmethods, encryption protocols, and secure data storage solutions toprevent unauthorized access orleaks.
  • SecurityOperations: Understanding the operations andmanagement of security operations centers (SOC), includingmonitoring, reporting, and analyzing security incidents inreal-time.
  • SecurityArchitecture: Expertise in designing andimplementing security systems and architectures that ensure theprotection of an organization's assets, both physical anddigital.

2. Leadershipand TeamManagement

  • TeamLeadership and Development: Managing, mentoring, andmotivating a team of security professionals, includingcybersecurity experts, security engineers, and other technicalstaff. Ensuring the team remains well-trained and up-to-date on thelatest security trends andtools.
  • Cross-functionalCollaboration: Working closely with otherdepartments such as IT, operations, legal, and risk management tointegrate security practices into the organization'soverall strategy.
  • StakeholderCommunication: Communicating security issues andsolutions to senior leadership, clients, and external partners in aclear and concise manner, ensuring buy-in and alignment on securitypriorities.

3. SecurityStrategy and RiskManagement

  • RiskAssessment and Management: Conducting comprehensiverisk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and threats to bothphysical and digital assets. Developing and implementing riskmanagement strategies to mitigate potential securitybreaches.
  • Incident ResponsePlanning: Creating and testing incident responseplans for both cybersecurity and physical security incidents,ensuring that the organization is well-prepared to respond to anythreats.
  • Business Continuity andDisaster Recovery: Developing business continuityplans and disaster recovery strategies to ensure the organizationcan maintain operations in the event of a security breach ordisaster.

4. SecurityCompliance andStandards

  • RegulatoryCompliance: Ensuring that theorganization's security policies and practices are incompliance with industry regulations and standards such as GDPR,HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001, or others specific to theorganization'sindustry.
  • Security Audits andAssessments: Leading or coordinating regularsecurity audits and assessments to ensure the effectiveness ofsecurity controls and identify areas forimprovement.
  • Privacy and DataProtection: Managing the organization'sdata protection policies to ensure privacy laws and regulations areadhered to, and personal or sensitive data isprotected.
