Undertakes and managesallocated CAD production and other technical work tasks to agreeddeadlines and standards (industry & project) and inaccordance with the projectplan.

JobResponsibilities:

  • Conductquality checks for drawings to ensure proper standards have beenfollowed plans have north arrows proper legends are incorporatedcover sheet is created and uptodate index ofdrawings.
  • Define and agree the dataclassification structure/parameters to be used enabling schedulingof relevant information and creation of information rich componentsassemblies and systems for the purpose of cost estimationconstruction and asset management. In addition develop and useparameters to reference projectspecification.
  • Create collaborative models andlead design review meetings walking through the model creatingsaved views and identifying potential conflicts if not executed bydiscipline leads.
  • Transfer modelling contentfrom one party to another.
  • Validate the levelof detail and controls as defined for each projectphase.
  • Validate modelling content during eachphase.
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs visualisationsschedule of quantities.
  • Support the developmentand coordination of the constructability and schedule simulationmodel.
  • Upload native BIM files IFCs and XLSdata to the Expo City Dubai BIM Data
  • Developand maintain BIM object library throughout the projectlifecycle.

Minimumrequirements: 

  1. Haveexperience in Infrastructure projects done on Civil3D
  2. Have experience in using Revit andAutoCAD
  3. Have experience in coordination betweendifferent disciplines
  4. Have experience in BIMCommon Data Environments such as BIM 360 or Autodesk ConstructionCloud
  5. Have experience in preparing quantitytakeoffs using BIM tools
  6. Have experience inpreparing CAD drawings that are extracted from the BIMmodel

Qualifications:

  • BachelorsDegree in Geography Civil & Survey Engineering GeomaticsEngineering or related curriculum (or equivalent) and typically 6years of related experience
  • Minimum of10 years of experience in BIM and GIS engineeringroles.
  • Proficiency in BIM Software: Mastery ofBIM software platforms such as Autodesk Civil 3D AutodeskMAP 
  •   Bentley MicroStationInfraworks  is essential for creating and managingbuilding models
  • Strong command of GIS softwaresuch as Esri ArcGIS QGIS 
  • AutodeskAutocad Revit / Navisworksexperience
