Role Overview

The Dynamics CRM Senior Consultant is a core team memberof KPMGs customer delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 centredsolutions. Requirements

  • A University graduate with relevant degreewithin a computing or businessdiscipline
  • Microsoft D365 CE Certifications(2016 D365) are desirable
  • Strong functionalknowledge and understanding of Microsoft D365 CE covering a widespectrum of industries and sectors
  • At least 8years of handson proven functional experience in D365 CEconfiguration standard workflows dashboards forms & viewscustomizations Report development
  • Detailedknowledge and understanding of all modules within D365 CE includingSales Marketing Customer Service & FieldServices
  • Working knowledge of the PowerPlatform (Power Apps Power Automate PowerBI)
  • Good understanding of Dataverse includingcustomisations and development of Business Data Models fordifferent solutions
  • Good understanding ofMicrosoft Dynamics CRM Accelerators industry templates and addons
  • A proven track record of successfulimplementation & maintenance of a number of solutionswithin large client companies preferably across a number ofbusiness verticals (Healthcare Education Banking Manufacturingetc.)
  • A proven ability to develop a clearunderstanding of clients needs and the ability to incorporate theminto a solution
  • Experience of consultancy rolesin software delivery
  • Experience in adeliveryorientated IT environment using waterfall agile and Devopsmethodologies
  • Adept at Business RequirementAnalysis
  • The ability to see the greaterpicture and suggest solutions both within and outside the currentimplementation
  • Experience in supportingpresales activities is an advantage
  • Projectdocumentation experience especially for work packages to beimplemented by offshore teams
  • Business processmapping modelling and documentation knowledge

Responsibilities

  • The senior consultant will work as atechnofunctional lead to analyse design develop test maintain andsupport applications developed using D365 CE by working closelywith client teams and businessstakeholders.
  • Contribute to activities asrequired including building demo and proof of concept solutions forvarious client presentations
  • Work on thecreation of Dynamics 365 solutions and industrytemplates
  • Meet and exceed customer expectationsof business knowledge skills andbehaviour
  • Support practice & businessdevelopment activities such as PreSales Recruitment MentoringJuniors Sharing knowledge Initiatives etc.
  • Ensure timely completion of internal processesand mandatory trainings
  • Carry out additionalduties as may occur from time to time as instructed and agreed bythe management team
  • Represent our clientsMicrosoft Business Solutions team in a professional and positivemanner at all times
  • The Employee is required tofollow our clients Information Security Policies (ISP and ISMP) atall times
  • Perform Project responsibilities asdescribed and given below towards Team (lead) Client (clientfacing) and Governance (aiding ProjectManagers)

Individual

  • Organise manage and document workshops meetingsand requirements sessions with the client representatives projectstakeholders
  • Verifying customer requirementsto ensure completeness and correctness by working with technicalconsultants/leads. Ask relevant and right questions to gatheradditional information to avoid confusion. Provide accurateestimations for tasks
  • Responsible involvementin lowlevel and highlevel design; architecture/design of project;creation and elaboration of requirements/tasks to be given totechnical leads/developers/team members; project documentation
  • Lay down quality guidelines (requirementtraceability acceptance criteria nonfunctional requirements otherdesign standards etc.) for the project
  • Workingclosely with Technical Lead to setup quality gates and qualitythreshold parameters for project
  • Completeallocated tasks as per schedule with appropriate quality
  • Augment decision making for inventing vs.reusing knowledge/assets with appropriate reasoning. Get consensusfrom stakeholders and document decision for all project relateddecisions
  • Proactively raise and documentconcerns risks impediments pertaining to various aspects of projectand provide support to mitigate them with appropriate RACI
  • Triage bugs issues etc along with Technicallead during testing (System UAT Integration etc.)
  • Decision making with appropriate/relevantinsights

  • Provide a clear definition for Done
  • Allocate work items/tasks to team members
  • Perform review of work done and providenecessary review comments to enforce quality
  • Provide required guidance and support to teammembers when stuck
  • Provide details to team onquality standards to be adhered

  • Conduct monthly technical retrospectivemeetings with actionable outcomes.
  • Keep acheck on everyones understanding of endgoal
  • Involve appropriate team members for necessarydecisions and take accountability of decisions
  • Advocate for feature reusability andefficiency gain

Towards Client

  • Participate incustomer workshops as necessary
  • Provideguidance to customer and their IT/Business Analysts team
  • Provide sufficient reasoning for features thatlook out of league; Challenge the client on such requirements andsuggest tradeoffs as necessary
  • Provide clearweekly progress/status report for self and team
  • Highlight risks or impediments in appropriateforums

Towards Governance

  • Provide guidance and support in setup of DevManagement processes
  • Guidance in setting upright DevOps system & tools; Setup CI/CD pipeline withappropriate templates
  • Verification of AutomateBuild and release management (including Rollback plans)
  • Setup and verification of right branching andmerging strategy
  • Represent & provideopinions in management reviews or steering committee reviews
  • Ensure team calendar is up to date; Ensureappropriate work distribution backup/backfill planning
  • Document Lessons Learnt and share it inbroader forums
  • Provide immediate andappropriate feedback to team members
