Account Manager – Energy, AWS Energy & Utilities EMEA Join to apply for the Account Manager – Energy, AWS Energy & Utilities EMEA role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) AWS is seeking a world‑class sales professional to manage our global customer relationship with ADNOC, one of the largest energy companies in the world, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Account Manager will be responsible for providing global business leadership and guidance. You will build and maintain key relationships, develop and manage opportunities, monitor deployment projects and engage extended team resources. You will define a CXO relationship strategy within the account, including engaging with AWS senior leadership team for executive sponsorships, coordinating executive business reviews, and maintaining customer satisfaction. Key job responsibilities Team with the customer’s IT and Business Lines to build strategic relationships across the account, articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm, while impacting all business groups. Sell at the most strategic level within the account and implement a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation. Work with all appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Solution Architects, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, Support, Service teams and Professional Services) to support customer interests, including dotted line responsibility for downstream sales and technical resources that may be geographically distributed. Develop formal case studies and other references highlighting activity and workloads running on AWS. Responsible for the whole account and related business units, working with the local and global AWS Energy & Utilities team. About the team Working within the Energy & Utilities Business Unit at AWS means working closely within a specialised community of professionals in the E&U industry. Your colleagues will be hands‑on practitioners with strong industry acumen and deep technology skills. Basic Qualifications 7+ years of sales experience Proven extensive knowledge of IT and Cloud technology (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) Preferred Qualifications Good knowledge of the local UAE energy market Good knowledge of the Oil & Gas upstream business BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or related field Experience in large complex deal negotiations with a successful track record; establishing credibility quickly with senior level executives across the organisations.
