The position will require liaison with the clientpartners and contractors for all procurement requests. Managementof the day to day operating of procurement staff to ensure of allpurchase orders received. The role will ensure that all customerkey performance indicators are measured and achieved.T his role reportsto the GeneralManager.
Responsibilities:
- Managesuppliers and develop supply relationships to ensure an efficientand effective supply outcome for theClient.
- Responsibilityand accountability for the development and maintenance of accurateinformation for the purpose of effective management –reporting andtracking.
- Managingthe overall sourcing process to provide options within 72 hours ofrequests received– RFQprocess.
- Ensureall quotations are accurate and in line with clientrequests.
- Ensuresourcing of the correct caliber of suppliers (trading companyversus manufacturer company) to ensure competitive advantage andthat sourcing is from original manufacturer unless there is a morecompelling commercial offering.
- Todevelop implement and monitor policies procedures systems andcontrols for sourcing and procurement in accordance with bestpractices to control costs and optimize businessoperations.
- Ensurebest time quality and price for both FSS andclient/s.
- Ensureaccuracy of reporting to client in terms of the track and traceprocess.
Requirements : Qualification and Skill
- Bachelorof Science in Mechanical Engineering orequivalent.
- Minimum 5years operations experience in the mining industry managing aprocurementdepartment.
- Idealcandidate should be SouthAfrican.
- Fluent inAfrikaans(advantageous).
- Projectprocurementexperience.
- Customerrelationshipexperience.
