Technical Superintendent

Make your mark as technicalsuperintendent docking and ship repairs at our Abu Dhabi branchoffice for Boskalis Offshore Energy. In this role, you areresponsible to prepare and execute dockings and ship repairs,coordinate "day-to-day" maintenance and repairactivities of the assigned vessel, including resolving technicalissues during ship repairs projects.
It isessential for technical superintendent to have the ability to workin a planned and independent way. You must have an eye for detail,but you should certainly never lose sight of the bigger picture andnot to be afraid to askquestions.
Your responsibilitiesas a technical superintendent docking and ship repairsare:
- Overseeing the planning and executionof docking and ship repair projects, ensuring efficiency andsafety.
- Managing budgets, guaranteeing precisecost allocation for docking and repairactivities.
- Handling statutory surveys,maintaining vessel and equipment compliance with Classstandards.
- Assuming technical responsibilityfor vessel and equipment performance, along with accurate reportingon maintenance, docking, andrepairs.
- Coordinating a multidisciplinary team,implementing best practices, and facilitating effectivecommunication in Fleet management.
Your qualities
You can make your mark astechnical superintendent docking and ship repairs if youhave:
- Abachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, navalarchitecture or maritime engineering.
- 3 - 5years of relevant nautical experience in a maritime environment.Prior experience in dockings and shiprepairs.
- Fully conversant with the legislativeand regulatory requirements for marineassets.
- Good command of English, written andspoken.
- Team player, problem solver, goodcommunication skills and taking initiative.
